Zechariah is a prophet who ministered to the people of Jerusalem after their return from exile in Babylon. He encouraged the people to remain faithful and obedient, and he encouraged them to rebuild the temple. Therefore, Zechariah is a prophet ministering to “us” – an end time generation who have chosen to leave “Babylon” (worldliness and carnality) and return to Jerusalem (God’s church) to RE-build His temple. When this temple is rebuilt, Haggai says:
Hag. 2:7 … and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts.
8′The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the LORD of hosts. 9 The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”
We are rebuilding our own individual “temples” as well as the corporate “temple” of the Lord, in anticipation of the establishment of the NEW Jerusalem.
Chapter 14 of Zechariah speaks of the coming “Day of the Lord”, that glorious day that we believe is beginning even now – the Third Day!!
Zech 14:16-17
16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.
“Everyone who is left” – the remnant company of overcomers, SHALL go up to worship the King and keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This feast is the final, yet unfulfilled Feast of the Lord where we tabernacle with our Lord – the fullness of Christ in you the Hope of glory!! However, we do have a choice as to whether we will “go” to this feast. Many individuals and churches choose to stop at the first feast, Passover (initial salvation), or Pentecost (Holy Spirit baptism), believing that Tabernacles will be fulfilled when we are in “heaven”. However, Zechariah shows us this feast is at the coming of the Day of the Lord – the Third Day! Verses 17 – 19 tell us that those who refuse to come to the Feast will have NO rain.
Zech 14:20-21
20 In that day “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the LORD of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them.
“That day” is the Day of the Lord – this day! HOLINESS TO THE LORD will be engraved on the bells of the horses. We are the horses, and our lives (bells) must ring out HOLINESS for all to hear. We MUST be holy and set apart unto the Lord in this day! The only way to “be” holy is to allow the Holy One to live and dwell in and through us – total surrender on our part to Him.
The pots (us) will be bowls before the altar of God, vessels of prayer and intercession. Every pot (individual) SHALL be holiness to the Lord. I love the next part: Everyone who sacrifices SHALL come and take them (us) and “cook” in them. Those who see this remnant, these overcoming, sold out people will want what we have and will come to us and stir us (pots). The Lord will allow them to come and apply the heat and the stirring in order that they will be able to smell the aroma of Christ that comes forth, and taste the goodness of Christ in us.
Haggai 1:14
14 So the LORD stirred up …the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God
We see it is the LORD doing the stirring within His remnant people to enable them to rebuild the corporate temple of the Lord for His glorious appearing to the whole earth – the New Jerusalem – the Bride! (Rev. 21:2)
Zechariah ends with:
Zech 14:21
In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
The meaning of Canaanite is “trafficker, peddler”. All unholy traffic will be stopped, because when the GLORY fills the HOLY temple, nothing unholy can remain! Hallelujah!!!!

Hello Van Tanner,
I just want to thank you for the book 7 thunders. It has been the most fresh and awakening revelation I believe I have read. In fact I have been walking with the lord for 30 years and two other mature woman and myself gather at my house every Friday night for two hours to study 7 thunders. Do you have any CD’s or workbooks that go along with 7 thunder?
Thanks Pauline
